Anyone else miss dyadvisor?

    Hi,
I've just been wondering what happened to dyadvisor. He's given so much valuable advice to this forum, stimulated a whole lot of discussion - then poof! He's gone.

There have been several threads posted that I thought maybe he'd chime in on with his two cents, but no. Nothing. And there for a while, he was posting several times a day.

    Any thoughts?
    Dot

It was bound to happen, thanks to the way he was being treated by a particular *shrugs shoulder* member. He is in touch with me though, via email. :)

Edit: I'd like to add that another member, `Kraven,' was seriously injured in a car accident. I myself feel like an alien in this forum... do not know why. :/

I thought they all left to start their own forum.

Yeah, they started their own forum a few months ago. I would like to see they both on DP again.

I miss the conversations that related to writing but I don't miss the pomposity and name-calling that came with them.

Dyadvisor is online in my gtalk just now, but i doubt whether he will come back here right now. As far as the name calling was concerned, it all began and was generally restricted to one person who still uses terms like `shit' etc., at random *shrugs shoulders*

would that be the person who likes 'beer'?

Shame. Missing them both - hope Kraven gets better soon.

    A resounding "No".

Besides...he was "too good" (/end sarcasm) for DP.

Maybe he'll come back.....long enough to take Perry Rose with him.

Personally, I think the wrong person has been blamed for all of the flame wars that went on. Without the people who have left to create their own little world, you might have noticed a number of very helpful posts from the same fella so many here thought was the problem child. I've seen it before where someone comes onto a forum, puffs out their chest, tells all the old members they suck and creates a cult-like following for the purpose of launching their own forum. It's a shame others here didn't see him for what he really was.

I visited their new forum around the time they departed and while there were a few interesting conversations, I was turned off by the continuing rants about many of the posts and folks here.

I wish them well but am glad the hero worship and nastiness has moved on.

BTW, if you want to visit their forum, just find one of their old posts, most of them have a link in their signatures.

He does seem to have 'mellowed' recently, to be sure. I assumed it was down to the reduction in alcoholic beverages, due to the increase in Canadian Sales Tax.

Granted a little late, but better late then never.
To separate fact from fiction: "They" never set off to start their own forum. that forum was mine and already there. I just added a place for DY and the writers course was born. It was never intended to replace DP it was intended to provide a place where DY could teach his stuff in peace without the constant bickering.

When I was taken out by the accident, I hired the services of an old friend to keep things in shape and that didn't sit well with DY and that went to hell. For details its all up on my forum.

Anyway, I am on my way back, and with the assistance of a devoted crew on buzz bookmarks we're about ready for round two :D

Hope this clears a few things up.
