One of my oldest and most stable websites doesn't have sitelinks this morning. Webmaster tools still shows the sitelinks, but all of the data in there seems to be old too. (all of my old SERPs and such) Has anyone else lost their sitelinks that they used to have? I am hoping it's just a temporary thing with the caffeine update but if not that's kind of frustrating. SERPs are all over the place for all of my sites as well... In many cases the SERPs are worse in sandbox.google as well as regular google than they were a few days ago. I guess it's time to get ready for the google update roller coaster ride.
Hmm here is something even more strange. I have found that if I am logged into my google account, the sitelinks are there when I google the title of my website. If I log back out they are gone even though I still rank #1 and a bumped out #2.
site links dont come in SERPS with every keywords...try some other query suggested from webmaster tools
Yeah but my site name has produced sitelinks for 4+ years. Also, the site name produces sitelinks when I am logged into my google account and do a search. Don't think it's the wrong term.
Still "caffeine update" is under testing phase at: http://www2.sandbox.google.com/ It is not applied to the Google SERP. And as said by treemonster19, site links doesn't come with all the keywords. So just type ur domain name and check. Google WMT shows old data. So, if you are not found your site links it may be happen bcoz of loss of your valuable backlinks.
You were right - typing in my domain name does generate the site links so I have not lost them. How do you know that caffeine isn't affecting normal SERPs yet? I have seen a lot of changes across the board the last 24-48 hours and my sitelinks show up exactly the same in the sandbox as well as the normal.
If you observe in the caffine serp also you gets the site links. But I observed, some of the sites are showing 8 site links in Google serp and only 6 site links in Caffine serp results. And the caffine update is still in testing ans Google asking for webmasters and site owners feedback regarding the caffine update, improvements needed and etc. Google notifies when the Caffine update applies to the Google serp.
try doing a google search for: site:yourdomain.yourtld. That'll bring up whatever google has indexed. Site links are just helpful pointers that google adds to it's search results. They don't mean that your site hasn't been indexed and doesn't mean that there's a PR update around the corner. Think the last update was about a month and a half ago.
I still have sitelinks for my site name, but have lost sitelinks for other terms. This has only been for the last 3 or 4 days.
