At work we have this program on every computer that in my eyes is the epitome of evil. It is called Websense. If you are not familiar with Websense, it is a program that blocks just about everything on the internet that you need to have access to in order to survive your average workday. I cannot access sports, networking sites (facebook, myspace, etc), any chat sites, most message boards, or any video sites. How can people expect you to spend 8+ hours at a desk with a computer and not visit any of these sites? Sorry, had to vent.....
Yeah its really stupid... I had to call them to get our company site re categorized, took ages to sort it out.
We had to do that as well. We are an auto parts retailer and one of the forums we were advertising on and using as a marketing tool suddenly came up blocked one day. It was ridiculous and took about a week to get sorted out. Lost A LOT of business because of that debacle.
