Anyone else have an MSI Wind netbook? Any other recommendations?

I bought an MSI Wind recently to take notes in class, but it really just seems choppy and slow, even on simple tasks such as word processing and internet browsing. Just wondering if any other MSI users out there felt the same way.

Oh it's still running the factory installed XP, maybe that's my issue

Not sure if there's a Linux distro optimized for the MSI Wind, but at least try Ubuntu Netbook edition.
Also might be worth looking at Linux Mint.

I've got an ASUS 901 with XP on the SSD, and I run Mint and EasyPeasy (EeePC optimized Ubuntu) from an SD card.
Even from the SD card, both versions of Linux are much nicer to use than XP.
