Anyone else HATE to do SEO?

In this game of IM does anyone else just hate to do SEO?

It's like shooting in the dark! You have people claiming this and that and no one really knows what Google is up to.

And it's so incredibly boring to do blog commenting, article submission to 20+ directories, forum posting etc.

I'd rather try to master Adwords to be honest.

It's all part of the game. I must admit I am not fund of comment posting either, but once you find several good blogs, follow them and start to "know" the people there it can be close to fun;) You could also just pay for someone to do it, but do find a company that can be trusted.

I don't really find it boring at all... Sure "sometimes" it might get a little boring, but don't ALL jobs eventually get boring. I like SEO because it is a moving target that is constantly changing, constantly evolving... so you have to constantly learn or get left behind.

Trust me... Adwords is going to lose it's luster soon after you get a grasp on it as well.

I've only just begun to scratch the surface of SEO. Well, I think it's more like I have managed to breath on the surface so far, but I'm finding it really interesting and fun. I've always moved aimlessly from one area of computers to another and although they interest me, nothing has grabbed me like SEO!

I guess I don't like waiting so long to see results.

When you write an ad in Adwords or you put up a direct response sales letter, then you can instantly see results.

I agree, no matter what job you are doing as time goes on their will days when you just don't feel like working, or your just tired of doing the same thing over and over again. To me seo is like a video game with millions of levels, you just cant' seem to get to the end no matter what you do. Just when you think you have the top spot under control another site comes and steals your glory.

IMO you should'nt waste your time with adwords, unless you have dozens of sites that all get tons of traffic then it is not worth it. No sense working that hard for a $200 a month check.

And pay Google everytime someone lands on your website? I'd rather try and master SEO and get FREE organic traffic for a long time. ;)

I love SEO as well. To me it's not about easy and boring or not, instead it's about the value.

SEO is like playing an RPG game that shows only little hints and we must explore it so that I can enjoy the process. I don't like playing a game that already revealed everything.

Also SEO is constantly changing and updating so I get to keep learning new stuff and skills from others or by discovering by my own attempts. It's like game or software's version updates and bug fixes. I guess you're not going to use something that releases and then no updates or fixes at all right?

    Just my point of view.

I actually love SEO more than my real job!

I'm not saying i'm any good at it - but trying to work it out is great fun!

I've SEOd enough to no longer require adwords advertising for my main business - we contributed to Google adwords coffers for over 5 years, it's very satisfying to have an almost $0 advertising spend!

I've achieved #1 spots for my original group of 10 keyphrases, Now I just concentrate on more and more competitive keyphrases. I'm now hot on the heels of companies in the search engines that are 50 times bigger than me!

I do just love SEO and the challenges it provides!

My blog topic is a big interest of mine, so commenting/seo related work is more of a hobby to me.

I know it can be a slow process, but well worth the work and the wait time. The payoff is great.

I find it a bit aggravating because I haven't established a daily routine for sites to browse and post yet, but it's slowly getting built. The most annoying part is trying to find the sites you want to do SEO on, not doing the SEO itself.
