I have been writing some articles and all of them when checked in Premium Copyscape have said there are 0 matches to anything online. Great. So then I sent them off and receive an email back to say there are matches with all of them. Both me and the person I am sending them to are using premium copyscape but his looks like a slightly different version. His page has a little green banner above the box where you type your words in saying search internet only, mine doesnt do this. Can anyone help as I am so tired after writing all day. I need to rewrite ten articles and I don't want to do it blind. ie i need to know what needs rewriting and clearly my version of copyscape doesnt work the same :s
I've never heard of that happening where Copyscape contradicts on two different users' reports. I hope you're not being scammed Peace, Stephanie
Well, fact of the matter is, Copyscape, like sooooooo many other such softwares have never been reliable. The simple solution is to rewrite them even more. Do them by hand, and by scratch. Do not use spinners. It's more work? Yup. Lazy writers don't make money. Besides, the content could be almost the same, but the site that has the most backlinks and is the oldest is the one that usually ranks the highest. Do keep that in mind.
Hi I am certainly not using a spinner, its just a pain without knowing what to rewrite and theres always the chance that my rewrite will then fail copyscape.
Even while re-writing, if you're doing it on your own, there shouldn't be any copy on the Internet because everything is being written by you! I never bothered to use copyscape because I am sure that I write original content, and even re-writes look completely different from the original. It would be good if you did that as well.
Well, no matter what is said, it sounds like you are still going to give credit to Copyscape. As if it is so important, so... Anyway, maybe you could post one of those articles here??? It can't be that hard to rewrite it.
Does Copyscape have any help desk sort of thing where you can email questions? I'd contact them first before rewriting. I have seen were writers have been scammed by using Copyscape. The buyer quickly posted the articles on one of their sites, an article directory or a friend's site. They then claimed the content didn't pass Copyscape and either refused to pay or demanded a rewrite. If your buyer has sent you screenshots, I would send them to tech support at Copyscape and ask to know what's what. Seems like either your buyer is a scammer or you're not getting what you are paying for from Copyscape.
Thanks for the replies. I have contacted copyscape and they are trying to sort it out for me now. I have tried searching with both Yahoo and Google but I am getting the same results for both. There shouldn't be any difference with me using it in Thailand do you think?
Do you bunch together a number of articles so that their word count is just below the limit of 2,000 set by Copyscape and then check them? In such cases you'll not get the proper result. Check each article individually for a proper result. I hope this helps. P.S.: Copyscape's website uses blue & black text on a white background. There is no green banner.
The more I hear about your dilemma, the more I think your buyer is a potential scammer. Like YMC said, it's really not that hard for a buyer to post your article elsewhere and force it to fail Copyscape so he doesn't have to pay. Please be careful; I'd hate to see you rewriting a bunch of articles unnecessarily because someone is too cheap to pay for quality work. Peace, Stephanie
