Anyone else got the email alert after withdrawal (Indian Paypal Users) ??

The great news is that "Now Nobody is getting any reversal" ...Maybe they have sorted out the issue and taking stock of the situation...

 

How can you say that there is no more reversal. How you came to this conclusion?

 

I have NOT heard about any reversal in last 5 hours,so i think problem has been resolved

Does payment from TextLinkAds qualify as Personal or Commercial...to my Premier Account...
It is purely commercial and not personal and it got reversed....It is not only personal payments...but all payments have been suspended and reversed.....This message from Anuj Nayar, Director, Global Communications at PayPal makes no sense..

 

If clients dont refund lets create a thread where we can place there website and comments that they have used our service and not willing to pay so these way they will be getting bad prestige on there website

I personally have got reversal of about 3000$ and already lost about 600$ in total paypal game.

 

TLA payments are clearly commercial. I think this is what happened.

1) Paypal finds out that a lot of Indians are abusing personal payment feature and decides to do something to curb it.
2) Probably to make a strong statement, they decide not only to remove the feature with immediate effect but also return all personal payments made on or after Feb 01
3) Some technical bug causes non personal payments as well to be reversed

This is my best guess of what has happened.

I am visiting several forums and is in contact with lots of friends in India and US....For the past few hours..reversals have stopped..Maybe temporarily...Not sure about it...

But do you think that Paypal will allow this issue to remain unresolved for hours or days...Not Likely...

 

Hahaha praypal .. Good one dude.. Well no more casualties have been reported past some hours and when i called paypal they assured me to go for the withdraw of the amount. I did it , if it gets reversed then then ....





Ummm ! Then what can i do

 

same thing happen with me also, even payment were not send as personel and message that i got from paypal was ask your buyer to send money via good and put his address.



Paypal really sucks from last 24 hours

 

a very likely reason can be that barely anybody would be transacting now...just today 3:30 pm my payment got reversed after staying for 4 days in my account and payments done later on were reversed earlier..

How can an organization like Paypal make a strong statement without prior notice of its intention...Not Likely..That is why I told that..they were experimenting with some changes to be made for Indian Personal accounts and landed in a mess (BUG)...

 

They were probably over confident that since they have a near monopoly they can whatever they want. Actually, that is kind of true. No matter what they do we still have to stay with paypal to do business online.

 

This is going from bad to worse.This has to stop.

 

Since the reversal note clearly says they reversed the payment since they are not allowing personal payments to/from Indian paypal accounts, I'm sure they did it intentionally.

So this might be a temporary suspension. We will have to wait to hear from Official source if they would allow personal payments to and from Indian paypal accounts in future...

 

yes that is a BIG truth , but once I am in a calmer state of mind, I'll research my options and keep another options open .. just in case . It is a good wake up call let's all defect

 

All we are waiting for this Official Announcement From PayPal.

I disagree with your statement.."lot of Indians are abusing personal payment feature".....Does this apply only to Indians...Everyone from all over the world will choose the economical mode of payment and receipt....It is not only us Indians...Remember that we are the leading software providers and we may have lot of freelancers receiving and sending payment through personal accounts and as personal payments..does not mean that we are abusing the system....Maybe Indian Government has asked PayPal to keep track of personal payments and disable it..maybe to avoid funding of terrorists...
