I too experienced a delay last year at about the same time and this time as well.

Maybe Indian banks, the RBI, or some intermediate agency is reconciling their accounts for the end of the financial year? Seems to be yearly. Couldn't have come at a worse time for me though :( .

I withdrew on the 27th of Jan and it's yet to arrive. I haven't got a notification from them though. I wonder if I should call them...

    Hello everyone,

I made a withdraw om the 27 of Feb, but the amount has still not been transferred to my account. I sent paypal a mail, this is the reply:

    "Thank you for contacting PayPal.

I hope all is well with you, my name is Ramir Anthony and I would be
happy to look further in to your account. I sincerely apologize for any
inconvenience you may have experienced and the delay in response to this
email. I understand that you would like assistance about the delay in
the transfer of funds into your local bank.

Please be informed that we are aware of this issue and I sincerely
regret the inconvenience it has caused you. Our technicians are working
to resolve this matter. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us again."

I hope they fix the issue quick, because even though Paypal is a known name and a representative replied, but I am still kind of worried!

It happened the same month last year and took all of us more than 2 weeks to make paypal aware of the problem and 20 days before money was transfered in the Account. This year paypal is already aware of the problem so hopefully we will all be hearing some good news soon. If anyone receives the withdrawal kindly post the message here so that we all know that the withdrawal process has started and we also can check our bank account

I was also the victim of last year withdrawal delays and this time too. I made 4 transfers from 27th to 1st and none of them have been credited into my account yet. I also contacted my bank yesterday (IDBI) and informed them about this issue. But they have no clue whatsoever. Apparently the funds are not even in the transit. I don't know whether we should call ourselves blessed or cursed having paypal as our payment processor. Because when it works there is nothing compared to Paypal and when it doesn't there is nothing worse than paypal. :)

Received Second email from paypal about delay.Exact same email.

Looks they have programmed so after every transfer you get that email now.
Just Pray they don't forgot about the issue. There are several issues on paypal which were NOT Solved even after years like :

1)You can not upgrade a personal to Business account becuase of a HTML error in State/County fields (I did not check in last few months)

    2)The ratings never updates

Well, I transferred money on Friday and am still awaiting any money ( or response ) from PP. Was panicking and when I planned to post a thread about this ... I see so many people worried. It's some comfort though to see that I am not the only person affected and if so many ppl are facing this issue, it may get resolved soon by PP.

    :(

If you guys are still waiting for withdrawal dtd. 27th, then I perhaps will have to wait a bit longer since I made a withdrawal only on the 30th!
Normally, I would have received the funds by today evening but I guess this time.. it is not going to be the case! :(

In such crisis, they overlook one very important attribute of the money and that it has time value.
It is not always the safety... but getting the money on time is also equally important. People face so much hardship in its absence, particularly if they have planned about its arrival well in advance and are made to fall short on their commitments! :(

    Hi!

I withdraw quite big amount from paypal to my bank account.. And I got same reply.

    Dear XXXX

We are currently experiencing an issue processing withdrawals to Indian bank accounts. As a result, there may be some delay in withdrawals from your PayPal account to your bank account.

We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused, and are doing all we can to resolve the issue.

    Thank You,

    PayPal

Hope to get money soon in my bank account.

I do not understand what is the problem that Paypal is referring. What can go wrong.... They just have to instruct their partner bank to deposit the funds to our accounts through NEFT... what can go wrong in that.... I think it is ONLY their will.

They want to hold money for some time (I think combined total of all withdrawals from Indian Members will be a very large amount) to earn interest or something similar.....

We only get the same automatic reply with no reassurance as to when our problem will be solved, If we reply in same manner to a customer who pays via Paypal then in few minutes we will have dispute on our head with Paypal freezing the amount in question.

This is not right. We as a customer have everyright to know what is the exact problem and by when they plan to solve and deposit our money

On a lighter note, perhaps it is your very big withdrawal that made their system to collapse! :p
