oh crap they are just doing copy paste work

This story has also been posted on Slashdot - now there will be even more publicity for this problem not just in India, but overseas as well.

 

Imran, this problem is faced by 100s of paypal users in India.
Dont worry, you wont lose your money. As soon as the present issue is resolved , you will get you money at your bank or with your paypal Account.

The most sane thing we should do is to promote this thread on Digg.

If all those replying here can help, then the Digg story can be on their homepage.
It may even get noticed by Google for the keyword "Paypal India"

That can alarm the paypal guys and force them to take fast action about it.

This is no technical glitch.Everyone knows that.If it is a policy problem betweem RBI and Paypal let us know that.

I saw that too. But, that's Paypal Official Blog post. It doesn't contain the real problem. THe post tells about no problems in commercial payments, but most persons on DP have reported about those getting reversed (even the payments from Hotfile, Infolinks, and many ads networks, etc - those don't issue Personal payments)
It was posted to cloak the real problem. Please read the post, we would help in delaying the action if that post becomes popular.

Hey but i read positive reviews of few in one of the thread in payment processing that now payments are not reversed BY paypal..this would be a ray of hope soon all should settle wel..!

 

Yes. One of 'test' payment I got from my friend still lies in my account after 48+ hrs

This means that the train is now going in right direction.
But, it may be due to the weekends, and the reversals are going to continue on Monday (if they are manually handled)

Not sure, how long it's gonna take but hopefully the problem will resolved asap, this is all we could pray at the moment.

 

Where did you find that thread? Can you post the link to that thread. I do not think that has happened. Two of my payments which I had got as "Goods" Payments on 6th were reversed yesterday. I have got payment today from some buyer even though I had asked him not to send a payment from paypal for now (he seems to have got the message late). Even though it is a small payment of $2, I will check it out if it gets reversed or it does not.

 

I think things looks like going to normal as I got one Payment on 5th Feb 2010 as Service option and luckily it's still their in my account after almost 50 hours so we can assume that things will be normal in next 2-3 days for online system, but can't say anything about bank transfer at the moment.

 

They doesn't seem to allow anyone to comment on that blog post.

Paypal seems to be least bothered about its merchants businesses.

All communications are one way from Paypal. They never allow people to interact with them. Really doubt whether they have enough human working on the system.

Up-to we receive an official email from paypal that funds are credited to bank accounts, everything will be just speculation.

Everyone please keep us posted if you get any communication from Paypal or if you get the funds credited to your bank account.

 

Yes I wish something coming good for us and someone may report to get funds.

 

Wow! Non of my last 3 payments from Saturday and sunday got reversed.
I am happy to see this, I think this issue will be a history soon.
