Anyone else got the email alert after withdrawal (Indian Paypal Users) ??

what wrong they Did?

We are doing wrong not they. We Use paypal for ease and fast payment where we are braking few Laws of Govt. of India.

We cant make transaction of more then 1000 USD and if so we are answerable to Govt. about the transaction and should pay tax on it.

How many of us are doing ?

If you talk about me, my CA count income by paypal and include while I am filing return.

 

One more transaction reversed within 1 hour.
This time the payment was as Goods and had a shipping address of my client.
Donno what's happening. I asked all of my clients to hold the payments till the crisis is over.

 

The important thing is, everywhere else they are working as normal. I doubt whether paypal plays with indian service providers money. Its nearly two weeks already.

 

@ Wisden: People who are making $300a month is also suffering. So, you can't blame us everytime

Yes i agree with you , there is no problem with RBI it is trying to help us from paypal

 

Personal Payments and local bank transfers in India


Hi readers, it’s Anuj from the communications team Paypal.

I’m writing to let you know that personal payments to and from India and transfers to local banks in India have been suspended while we work with our business partners and other stakeholders to address questions they have about the service.

During this time, customers can still make commercial payments to India but merchants cannot withdraw funds in Rupees to local Indian banks.

We’re trying to resolve the situation as quickly as possible and we’re really sorry for the inconvenience that this may cause our customers in India and around the world.

I’ll update as soon as we have more information to share.

Who are you referring to when speaking about "business partners and other stakeholders" ????

Please make it clear...is it RBI???? Is it India Government....Please clarify.... and ask your customer care executives not to provide canned responses...

Any news of recent payments getting reversed. That is the hot thing, not others , which have recently been discussed over here.

Their Customer Support is going to start in another few hours. We should start firing them with more calls

 

Paypal care about US laws and they have nothing to do with Indian laws, If we want to be more legal we should do business according to Indian Laws and Should follow them.

Note: If You are earning more then 10000 Rs Per Month, You should register your self as Self Employed.

 

Is the problem limited to receving or sending too?
Just bought a domain without much hassel

 

I don need announcements. I want proper transactions. Other things will get fine automatically!!!

Hi Anuj,

Do you have any idea about the turmoil and suffering you have created for thousands of Indians. Couldn’t Paypal be professional enough to make an official announcement in advance rather than have us live in hope and read those templates you send every time we mail you.
The damages you caused are collosal. Are you going to feed my family this month?????????????????????????

I carefully checked your account and found that the status of your
withdrawal on xxxxx is 'Completed', which means it has
completed through the PayPal system. Please note that electronic
transfers to your bank account usually take 5-7 business days to
process. Holidays and weekends are not recognized as business days for
most banking facilities, which may result in a delay in your banking
transactions.

* PayPal has no control over the length of time it takes your bank
to post their credits, and we do not receive confirmation when your
credit has been received by your bank
* Usually, if there is a problem with the transfer completing, it is
rejected back to PayPal and the funds are reversed back into the PayPal
account
* At this time, this transaction has not been rejected back to us.
Therefore, we suggest that you contact your bank and ask to speak with
someone who works with Electronic Funds Transfers. This Department
should be able to verify that your deposit was received.
* If you are unable to locate the deposit at your bank, and the
status of the transaction is still listed as completed, we can initiate
a trace on these funds once 14 business days have passed. In this case,
please contact us and our Customer Service will provide all the
information to initiate the trace procedure.

 

If Anyone will go and file complain about the issue. You will find yourself in trouble even if you are doing everything legally.

So dont bother going to a lawyer. I had words with Both Delhi High Court Lawyer as well as with NDTV News Co Editor.

Being my frd he suggested any Media involvement in this issue may lead Action against Paypal and that will stop the Paypal option for India.

Reason : Money for funding terrorism can be transferred easily by this way. So don't do that as well

 

Sorry for out of topic discussion. How should we register as Self Employed?

 

hmm.. well.. if you think paypal is used to fund terrorist, why do you even have other options as well ?
Can't simply think what government wants !!
