    I've tried every work-around, read the forums, prayed to the God of Gates....but cannot get SP3 to install on one of my XP Towers. I'm out of ideas...

    Help?

    This topic is more of a port of call for Microsoft search engine/business profile - I suspect you'd get much better and clear cut advice at the Geeks To Go forum, there's a lot of good guys over there.

    @Spidey Thank You.

    @libanadam The process went fine until initialization. When it attempted to verify the download I received a stop error. I looked it up but it was pretty generic. Last try is a registry patch (FROM MS), that supposedly will make the registry more receptive. I've been told though that if it doesn't work, chances are my whole system wont be working very good either...

    Thanks for your time.
