Recently had my upper and lower jackets permanently placed. A year back I really had bad teeth and felt a bit shy when I smile. I was terrified with the dentist. Then just one day, I woke up and faced the music as I though I really need to get my teeth fixed. Here's what was done. I had 14 root canals and 3 teeth extracted. My visit to the dentist lasted 2 months which was every 4 days to give my gums a rest during the root canals. After all the canals were closed and sealed, came the grinding to make my now revived teeth ready for jackets. Lasted for about 6 hours. The day my jackets were placed, my confidence boost so fast I was talking to people I never knew and smiled alot. My new smile really gave me a new life. Cost of meds : $240 My dental fee : $875 My new smile : priceless So anyone else had their unforgettable dental experience?
Congratulations for your new shiny white teeth. Even though its really expensive but having confidence to smile is really priceless.
Oh yea,I just got to remember that I should get my teeth cleaned on Monday. Thanks for reminding me,buddy
Ah yeah I remember the sound drill. Honestly, first few days, I wasn't able to sleep. I keep hearing that irritating sound in my head. Then I tried to ask some of my friends who were into psychology and stuff (real experts). Then came up with this one answer that solved my knightmares. I hate hearing the dentist's drill inside my mouth b/c the drill might hurt my lips/gums or I expect it to be painful when they drill my tooth. Well it's a matter of trust really and putting your mind on something else. People prefer to be sedated sometimes b/c of this. If you know the answer to why you're annoyed/irritated you can face your fears or get used/over it.
I have fortunately never faced a dentist neither I believe I'll face one in the near future but no I am not afraid of them. IT
I used to be a bit afraid, but now I get regular half-year check-ups, so I'm not really afraid anymore. After all, how bad can it be if it was OK 6 months back?
Sometimes people get the idea that doctors means something's wrong or you'll find out something's wrong. I know some people who doesn't want to watch House or Gray's Anatomy because of the scenarios they show. I guess that's the answer.
I WAS afraid of dentists..not anymore after 7 fillings That's what being in a dentists office for 3 straight days does to ya..
