Anyone create their own CJ database?

    Hi,

I'd like to create my own database filled with products from CJ, specifically from merchants whom I'm affiliated with. Has anyone out there done this yet?

Assuming that someone has tried it, how often is CJ's database updated?

I'm working on two sites now that do this. I'm using CJ's datafeed. Feeds update on a weekly basis.

    Thanks for the responses, everyone.

It's nice to know that the data feed is updated weekly; a daily update sounds like too much work (on my end). I've also been considering the data feed over CJ Web Services, but I don't know how much data is actually covered in the data feed.

On another note, a merchant I'm affiliated with provided me direct access to their data feed (a tab-delimited file) and it's not much better than what CJ Web Services provides. They couldn't even tell me how to structure the links correctly. My fear is paying $200 for a data feed that isn't any better than what I can get freely with the Web Services.

Anyway, I anyone has more details about the data feed, please post. Is it better than using CJ Web Services? I'm sure many others would like to know.

    Thanks

Does BANS allow users to build sites not affiliated with eBay? I'd like to create an affiliate site filled with a database of products from merchants other than eBay (as they pay more in commissions ;)).

What is PopShops? Does it allow users to create their own databases filled with products?

I ended up creating a csv based on ebay rss feed ( just for ebay..)

I wasnt going paying $200 for the pleasure of getting something a lot of other networks give you for free.

Yes. It is very easy to build a website using BANS that has nothing to do with ebay.

POP shop is an ideal partner for a non ebay bans store, goto popshops.com
