Woohooooooooo!!!! Aliens got Jack burton, Aliens got Jack Burton.. So my friend, tell us about your close encounter with the third kind???
We have quite a few aliens where I live, but they are not all legal I've watched a few UFO shows on Discovery. I find them interesting, but that's about it.
An "alien" could be as simple as a bacteria on another planet. All it means is that the life doesn't live on Earth. Sure, I believe in aliens. There is no question in my mind there is life of some kind on other planets.
Considering the huge number of stars (~infinite) and a huge number of planets out there, the law of probabilty strongly favours other life forms elsewhere. I do believe they exist, but whether they have visited earth, is doubtful.
I don't know what to believe ... Someone said early on in this thread that it is kind of arrogant to imagine in the vastness of space that we could be the only ones and if anything, I think, yeah what makes us so special? If we could claw our way out of the sludge a bazillion years ago, why do we think that that evolutionary step is not repeatable elsewhere? Geez, we are still finding new and sizable life forms on this planet - so who can say we have the universe buttoned down and sorted out?
Aliens outside of our solar system? Definitely. (Would an alien bacteria count?) Aliens visiting Earth? Not in a million years. literally.
