    hi there to all, I have been mulling over a question about SEO for some time and I cannot reach a conclusion - can I get your opinion on this?

    so, I have a website that has a top level menu which is replicated in the footer, the only difference being the top level menu is flash that is double click/ rollover activated, the code is shown as

    <a href="#" id="m_jobs">
    <img src="/skins/basic/_img/icons/jobs1.png" alt="" name="Jobs" height="82" border="0" id="m_jobs_img" />
    </a>
    <script type="text/javascript">vbmenu_register("m_jobs", true);</script>

    so with this in mind, what is the SEO effect going to be having 12 menu links reverting back to index using <a href="#"

    - I was thinking of putting a "no follow" attribute on the top menu links as the home page has only 60 internal links on it (of which 12 would be no follow)

    The home page has some dynamic seo links in it, so I am not too worried about SE spiders finding content and so on.

    What do you think?

    leave the "#" command on the menu or edit with a "no follow" to be safer?

    Cheers
