Anyone Actually Make PROFIT with PPC?

Hey there, I've tried ppc several times only to lose money. I've tried google adwords mainly, but now trying facebook.

Anyone actually make profit with ppc? They say a conversion of 1% is average, so figure 1 in 100 people buy.
If you pay .50 cents per click that costs you $50. A good commission would be $50, so there's no profit.

So my point is...how are we supposed to profit? It feels risky whenever I do PPC.

Any experiences or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Now a days, the competition is very high. People competing and bidding on keywords making the PPC non-profitable... People who are already established with Google PPC and have good quality score can survive... So new people coming to PPC will struggle a lot to make any profit out of PPC Campaigns and there are lots of mysteries around the algorithm what Google uses.

your ability to make profit with AdWords depends on number of factors. Such as CPC, your conversion rate, your profit margins, etc.

try optimizing your landing page to improve conversion rate; also make sure to use negative keywords to restrict irrelevant traffic

A lot of people are having big success with PPC (Adwords, Bing and Facebook). Yeah sure it's risky but no risks no success right?

It a campaign is breaking even right from the start, that's pretty cool. Actually I've done many campaigns in the past and a handful of them was losing money in the beginning but ended up making me some nice profit.

Quality score does matter to rank well in PPC. You need to make proper landing page and a reasonable offer... initially you will find it difficult and may lose some money but eventually when the quality score is fine and landing page is very attractive and reasonable price, you will sure get success. Believe me, if PPC would not be working, Google had to close down adwords as well as adsense! So its all about learning it properly.

The best way I found to use ppc is to send all the buyer to a landing page where u giving something away for free. Then you capture their name an email they way you can market to them over and over again.

I agree that it's much harder to use PPC as a reseller of traffic these days. It's much better if you have your own products or services.

Try only using exact match key phrases when starting out because you have more control over your traffic. and never use the content network unless you absolutely know what you are doing. Conversion rates are much lower on content network and you have no control over the traffic flowing to your site. If you must do content network then pick the sites carefully that you would want your ads to show on...don't let google just place them on any old site. I hope this helps and good luck.
