Nope, they are just there. You are rating them because Google wants as many sites as possible to be rated, otherwise you can make them look one way to a spider (perfect SEO) and completely different to the actual viewer. They was paying me and I was learning from the inside so I wasn't bothered why I was rating them.
I'm so interested in this , if anyone could tell what kinds of exams they make it would be really cool
They give you a set of instructions (describing how they want you to do things, eg things to look out for and flag up) and give you about 100 sites to view, if you follow the instructions you will give the sites the correct rating and they will base your pass/fail on how you did and your reasons for doing so (for about the first few weeks they expect you to make comments as to how you came to your rating)
The above jobs and profiles seem quite interesting and i might think about giving it a go. In the long run, i shall continue working with the local council and doing my work online. Thanks for the information, ~ Mike
Wonder if they are going to wonder why so many hits are coming from this thread. I might think about typing in the url, not sure they would particularly want marketers working for them
Interesting. They don't want anyone from USA but other countries. There are some friends here who will like this much! Thanks for sharing.
Haha, probably they think they're just very good from today and they will invest for more mail answering people But I think this is just a hype... over 1 week nobody will talk about this Greetz
Well it's always been there, it's just that very few know about it. I hope to have some good responses in a few weeks though by people who are actually doing it
This is great, do you think they would descriminate against anyone that has worked as a SEO? Should I not mention that on the application.
I never did, I mentioned my background in IT, the fact that I was fully versed on using the internet, just about covered it. Didn't want them to think I just wanted the inside track, plus you could give bias towards sites you are affiliated to and against competitors, so for this reason I neglected to mention it.
I remember once seeing a video posted by a member here on the working condition in google and I can tell you definitely anybody would want to work there
That is a nice opportunity but my country was not list , but I will still apply for future purpose...
To quote Marvin the Paranoid Android, "It sounds hideous..." Way back in the day I worked for Compuserve, back when they charged per minute of access... My zitty teen face eager to help. It only took a few days of helping people find the correct newsgroups to add to their e-mail before I realized I pretty much was a porn-slinger.
