I want to gain some trust from my visitor especially because I am in the gambling niche I saw McAfee SECURE (formerly Hacker safe) banner on some big websites. Who else is using McAfee SECURE? But all website I saw are ecommerce sites. Mine is not ecommerce. Can you recommend a cheaper alternative?
You should try also german-websecurity.com , they have free website security checks, which should be done at least with every site thats public on the internet. Certificates are available if your website does not contain any critical vulnerabilities. Almost all of my websites are secure and i've placed the banner on all of them
If you are interested in getting a trust seal I highly reccomend etrust.pro, I have personally used McAfee and it is good service, it just costs way too much (I would pay $1900 a year for service). I found etrust.pro and decided to try them because they have a 90-day free trial period and couldn't be happier. Once the trial period is over you only pay $20 a month so you aren't paying an insane amount of money to keep your site secure.
I am not talking about the McAfee AV but the trust banner. It checks your website daily for viruses, hacks ...
