Anybody using Clickbank in Spanish?

Is anybody targeting Spanish-speaking customers with Clickbank?

They opened up Spanish-content back in March. I'm curious as to whether or not anyone here has tried to work with that market, and what their experience has been.

What are the advantages/disadvantages of doing so?

I haven´t, but one thing I heard is that conversion rates are significantly lower, due to a lower percentage of Spanish speaking population is willing and able to spend on the web.

All I have to say (and I´m brainstorming here) is that although keywords are less competitive and consequently cheaper, I think that PPC would be a dangerous bet, because conversion rates might be just too low.

Having said that, I would suggest to start campaigns through articles, 2.0 etc. , see how it goes and if you are capable of risking some money, try out PPC.

Anyways, you brought up a good point to discuss.
Let me know how it goes!

i wouldn't say spanish (at least in spain) speaking people are willing to buy less on the web...

the issue is that it is really hard to sell them a digital product, a downloadable PDF... having to pay for this is still a bit odd out here

big retail companies market their online shops heavily and almost every other day you see a new advertisement for another company who's trying to reach their clients online.

and for buying over the internet you would be surprised how it has exploded out here... i myself even do my grocery shopping over the internet.

Thanks for the information. I do think that in Latin America there is a lower rate of purchase via the web, mainly because of a lower penetration of credit cards and Paypal. Probably in Spain, this is not the case.

There are also many Spanish-speaking people who live in the United States and other countries who probably have the internet at home and have a credit card.

I think you are right about the PPC marketing thing. But I also think there are a lot fewer people doing ezine type articles in Spanish so there could be an opportunity.
