Anybody still using Windows 98?

My old school still uses Window's 98 in the Celeron's they have for computer classes and stuff. ;p

 

Windows 98 is just good for some fun in VMWare/VirtualPC

 

I love windows 98 for all of the oldschool adventure games that can run on it, like Zork & Toonstruck

Yeah. It still works fine. My old pc still alive with that OS.

 

My MOBO doesnt support Win98
though i love Win 98 over any other OS

For speed OS2 kicked... OS2 was the os that windows 95 wanted to be!
95 was like beating a dead horse... boy I miss making boot disks to play games.

I stopped using windows 98 in 2003 I think. Then windows xp and now Mac OS X!

 

i stopped using W 98 2002.

 

I just cant forget windows 95 and Windows 98 I am searching for a copy but looks like they have gone to history I believe without Win 95/98, XP wont be there

 

i still use WIN2000 on my spare computer, not quite win98 but close

and actually I still have the disks for 98 and WIN NT

 

I think I will install Windows 98 these days if supportted, to see how it works natively (not virtual machine) on 1 GB of RAM

 

I just upgraded from Windows 3.1 to Windows 98 with a whopping 16 Megs of Ram and a 133 MhZ CPU. It rocks!!!!

 

lol, do you still have an old computer like that? Nice! I used to have an 40 MHz 386 with 8 MB of RAM

 

Actually, my first was an Apple IIC with the following:

128kb Ram
Dos 3.3

Notice the 5 and 1/4 inch floppy drive? That's where you loaded the OS on about 8 disks....LOL

 

I used windows ME for a while, that was by far the most efficient operating system because it made you reinstall windows and all the programs you had on it every month, definately had the cleanest registry of any of my OS's

 

I would say Win 98 is better than ME in a lot of way.
