    Damn! Windows 98 has been such an iconic OS from Microsoft and its hard to believe that it has been about 10yrs since win98 was launched. Anybody still using it?

    Hope you have not forgotton Windows 98?

    Hmmm! i guess W98 scope it's completely finished! stopped using it over 6 years ago but i assure it's the best version after XP Microsoft given to us :p

    I used to use it about a year ago. But, nah, i know better. Switched to a copy of Windows XP SP 2.

    My hubby and I love WIN98SE and we still use it in a dual partition, continuously updated with unofficial patches and applications found on WIN98/98SE devoted communities and according to many geeks this has been the most stable system released by Microsoft ever :)

    All the following are more likely blah, blah, blah, cosmetic changes and annoyances limiting your interaction with the system, including the actual "dos box" rather than the fully featured MS-Dos included for the last time with WIN98SE

    I should have read the full thread instead of let my Win98 pasion made post before reading, but this is another lie since there are unofficial updates available, including those for modern USB drivers and candy-eye themes [​IMG]

    Windows 98 was huge improvement over 95.

    But after XP was launched never turned back to 98 again :p
