Anybody playing with searchbigdaddy?

I just signed up with them and in theory, the concept sets a great stage for inexpensive marketing.

Looking at their Alexa stats, they appear to be a shooting star in the making. But, I'm not one to take things on face value, I've spent the last couple of days having a little tinkle. I'm impressed, but then, almost anything impresses me these days.

The product is both a search engine (pretty quick too with a clever results twist for sponsors) and an affiliate program, but its main benefit is that it uses a kind of funny-money system. You can generate credit in various ways and then spend it on PPC. For example, if you signed up as a free member, with myself as referrer here http://www.searchbigdaddy.com/elearnuni I'd get $50 bucks worth of funny money which can be used in the portals PPC program.

They also have what appears to be a spin-off sponsored keyword page that is intended to create links. (We've seen alot of those!)

I have to say that at first couple-of-days-play, its pretty cool. They've got some good ideas and might well turn out to be a market-mover.

If you like, simply drop the '/elearnuni' tag and you'll note that the system arbitrates a referrer. Seems like they are determined that they maintain a clear downline principle.

I wrote to my referrer and she seems over the moon with the traffic results. Encouraging. In the couple of days I've been tinkering, a few folk have signed up with me already and this evening I have set up my first bunch of serious PPC ads.

I note they refer folk to DP's keyword tool:D

Anybody else playing with this? Any thoughts?

Looks nice I am trying them out as I type. But you never know this could be just another one of those empty promises. By the way posting referal links is against TOS TOS
Just trying to give you a heads up.

    Thank You

I joined a few days ago, and so far, found the experience just as fast, just as reliable (really more so!) than using google.

ALready have one keyword and site up on the engine.
Will shortly have at least 3 more keywords (searching through them now to get the top keywords possible for my sites).
    Free to join.
And it stays free as long as you use them to do your searching, at least once a day.

I joined and so far I'm not sure what the benefits are. Do you receive cash for clicks on their ad or just funny money? I'm not clear on that point.

I have a good keyword with them and I'm pleased with that!

i joined a month ago or so, the truth is that the idea is great, specially since they give you a featured listing for your keyword for free. But one of the main incomes is when searches are performed trough your lnk (you can do it in your own link also) and i dont like it because you can't include an entire phrase, just gives you the results for all the words like if they were separately.

I joined and am using the search all the time. I don't like the way it displays results nearly as well as Google but I using it anyway to make those points. I have two keywords already which I got with points....no cash! I'm happy with it.

I wish there was a way for free members to make cash commissions. If there is, I haven't figured out how. Let me know if anyone has info about this.
