Anyway, if they were actually hippies, how could they not know the government is The Man? Left or Right. Imposters! Seriously, I wouldn't be that surprised if many of them campaign for Obama. I think it would be fair to say, it's unlikely many would vote Republican. In fact, they just started a new thread on their forum saying that "Mitt Romney is the Wall Street Darling." If you want to see something strange, go to occupywallst.org. Scroll down a tiny bit, and look at the right side, where it says "Occupy Wall Street Agenda." It's a calendar with all these events planned, especially in Liberty Square. I kept checking, it has events planned every day at least through 2020. I just got bored, and didn't look past that year, but it appears they are planning to stay there for a very long time.

Do you remember Arab spring? Maybe this will be USA autumn. If things get ugly and government start using violence against protesters, would you support NATO start bombing USA for change of regime? Maybe you can divide your army, so half of them bomb the protesters and half fight against the government.

Common gworld. Arab Spring? If things turn ugly? Isn't that EXACTLY the goal? Right at the top of the page, the event is advertised as "A Tahir Moment on Wall Street". We're talking about a revolution, man! The first comment on the first post defining this organization laid out the tactics:
Unfortunately for them, the "Payed armoured fascists" never showed up with the billy clubs, and stun guns, and tear gas, though they managed to get one pepper spray incident on tape which definitely helped add to their numbers. Nothing really new in these tactics, but unfortunately for them, this is America. Their message has already been co-opted by the party in power. These idiots have actually been duped into marching for "the man", instead of against him.

LoL. I never said they were smart hippies. More evidence of how our schools have failed us. They have a point with Romney, though their generalist attack leaves out the obvious fact that the guy they are supporting has been completely outed as a Wall Street puppet. When you see guys like Alex Jones calling them out, it becomes obvious their movement has problems at the core. It has evolved into a "Get out the Vote" campaign for Obama, which is laugh worthy at face value.

Yes. They are quite literally living there in "Micro-tribes". Inflatable mattresses, food kitchens, the whole nine, and they have no plans on leaving, ever. Maybe two years from now, they can file for the title to the park they are occupying by means of adverse possession, much like squatters in Central America. If it were my property, I would already have cleared it with armed private security, and put a fence around it. They are probably trying to do just that, but the city probably won't issue them a permit for even a temporary fence. GET OFF MY LAWN!!!

Obamanation, look at this...

This is the link Kaethy originally posted of the originators of OccupyWallStreet, to watch footage:
http://www.livestream.com/globalrevolution

It is known as the "Global Revolution." If you check out this page, in "About This Channel" they have other extensions for GlobalRevolution like GlobalRevolution.TV. But, check out this one: http://www.globalrevolution.es/

Here's a picture of what it currently looks like:

globalrevolution.jpg

It's a clock, counting down to the end of Capitalism. It also has another link on it, to GlobalRevolution.eu - On that page, it's advertising OccupyWallStreet. It does appear that is their ultimate goal.

That raises a curious question.. What does that clock represent? How is the capitalism gonna end? And when it will end, what will replace it?

If I were to take that clock and so called 'global revolution' seriously, I'd be alarmed...

Probably they have predicted that the capitalism will end in 10 years, and started the countdown..

Reminds me of countless 'end of the world' talks, only a lot weirder..

On the side note: Capitalism and Free Market are the keys to success. Capitalism does not screw America, Socialism does.. Who agrees and who doesn't?

The livestream link I posted, Global Revolution is a separate org from Occupy Wall Street. Global Revolution allows people to livestream their events. From their site, "Global Revolution brings you live streaming video coverage from independent journalists on the ground at nonviolent protests around the world."

The goals of Global Revolution and Occupy Wall Street are not one and the same.

So I guess the answer to my original question is no, no one is participating.

There are quite a mish mash of protesters, but that doesn't mean they don't have a few goals in common. Take Michael Moore, for instance, one of the first "Celebs" to show up and give these kids a pat on the back (along with Cornel West). Here is Michael weighing in on the most important things to him:

Apparently the SEIU and the rest of the Unions, along with every other Democrat special interest will be descending on the place tomorrow to plant their flag. Pretty sure they will declare this rally represents "Real Americans", unlike those special interest stooges in the Tea Party. I sometimes wonder if Michael Moore, the SEIU, and the rest realize that Capitalism is still quite popular among "Real Americans".

Kaethy, I swear, if I lived on the East Coast, I would show up if only to sell these people Che Guevara T-shirts. There is nothing quite as satisfying as getting anti-capitalists to willingly contribute to my capitalist enterprise. Unfortunately, after airfare and lost revenues from my regular J.O.B., it just doesn't pencil out.

Don't fret though. I will do my part to protest crony capitalism here on the left coast by working with local tea party members to get out the vote. Together, we will vote the corporate stooges out of office, as well as a few Republicans. If that doesn't work out, we will rinse and repeat 2 years from now. That is change you can believe in.

Kaethy, I'm not sure about that. From Occupywallst.org, it has "Livestream" at the top in the menu. Clicking on it, you go to livestream.com/globalrevolution. It's livestream that allows you to stream events, but Global Revolution is a specific channel on Livestream (like when you have your own YouTube channel). You can sign up for a free channel on livestream.com with ads, or one without ads at a cost. With channels though, it looks like you do have an option of adding "team members" to your channel, so, they may have partnered with Global Revolution in this, or Global Revolution is just doing it on their own, which appears kind of unlikely. I'm just left wondering, if OccupyWallStreet had any qualms whatsoever about the politics of Global Revolution, why wouldn't they just get their own channel? I'm tired right now, maybe I'm wrong? If so, feel free to correct me. Generally, I like certain ideas of OccupyWallStreet, but just the ones about getting the corporate influence out of our politics. A lot of the other ideas, not so much.

Michael Moore is such a jerk. :)

Obamanation, check this out...

This was linked off OccupyWallStreet - it's OccupyandDemand. Anyone can list what their demand is, and it's voted upon.

I used to live in Jamaica Plain in Massachusetts. I was a minority there, in that I lean to the right, and I'm straight :) Anyway, every once in awhile a dozen Socialists used to set up on the sidewalk and hand out literature. I always had the same conversation with them:
Me: So, you are all Socialists?
Guy: Yes! We are! Here, take a newsletter!
Me: Thanks, I promise will read all of it.
Guy: It's $2.
Me: Really!?!? WOW! I gotta congratulate you, you guys are terrific capitalists
Guy: (confused silence)

In case you haven't already figured it out, these guys were all pawns for a very smart fagan (man who makes money off naive liberals). I had seen this fagan many times, "leading" many causes. Highly charismatic.

Michael Moore is a fagan. In his book "TV Nation", he states "Liberals are a bunch of wimps and haven't gotten us anythiing". I think in "Stupid White Men" he mentions that liberals can be guilted into doing anything.

(bye bye, gworld - again!)

The most popular thing on that poll site is also listed in the official demand list for OccupyWallSt.org. It is:

Outlaw Corporate Personhood

Kaethy, can you tell me what this means? If you were to draft that law, what would it specifically eliminate or prohibit?

Corporations filing tax returns under their own tin?
Corporations being able to donate money to political campaigns, including unions?
Doing away with Corporations themselves?

It seems like a great talking point and a slap at Romneey, but I would love to see what that slogan actually means.

Michael More, Alex Jones, Frank Kern, Tony Robins are all in the information marketing business don't let their BS ideologies that they don't give two shits about blind you from what they're after. I bet Alex Jones has a net worth of well over $1m easily with his media empire.

They're all pure blood capitalists.

That is seriously, so funny. I had to Google the definition - Here it is in the Urban Dictionary:

Ha Ha. It looks like the Freeping favorite is Abolishing Corporate Personhood. Or, the Occupiers are just fond of that demand. :)

Michael Moore has it right ... in reverse that is.

And this video is by We Are Change which is a highly questionable organization more interested in gaining followers than educating people. They are after the so called "truther community" but telling them what they want to hear. An overload of information and contradictions so to speak.

One of their spokespersons, Manny Badillo has recently been arrested for several acts of sex with minors over the past few years and he also paid for his college tuition through donations We Are Change peddled.

Basically: The message needs to carry itself without spokespersons or organizations, because it seems everyone up there wants to use this for his or her own gain.

Now you are talking the Tea Party. The message of fiscal responsibility resonates with 80% of voters, self promoting leaders, not so much. Leaders will arise who speak to those values, not try and capitalize on them. Its the difference between people like Hermain Cain, Col. Allen West, and people like subsidy queen Michelle Bachman. BTW, isn't it curious that two black guys are held in such high esteem by the "racist" Tea Party?

The real problem with the OccupyWallSt folks, is that they need to start with a coherent message. There are lots of voices, lots of complaints, a few that actually coincide perfectly with the Tea Party. There are also a lot of communists, socialists, anarchists, and now special interest big money backers such as the Tides foundation and labor unions. They want a "Tahir moment" but they are not all marching to the same tune and, IMO, way too many people marching to the tune that lead us to this point. Big government.
