I am trying precision click on one of my sites. They have a bunch of ads that payout dCPM along with some that are PPC and normal CPM. I have looked everywhere for what dCPM is, but can not find what it is. Anybody know?

    Thanks.

dCPM? Never heard of it. "Dynamic" CPM perhaps? Maybe you should ask your account rep or a support staff.

I just got their reply, and you are correct. It does stand for dynamic cpm which basically means that the advertisers can adjust their cpm payout based on how well your site converts for them.

    Thanks for the reply.

I'm leaning towards that as well. When I signed up with them I thought it was more PPC, but there are only 2 ads that are ppc, and of course they don't get the clicks. :D

    Hi all,
Basically dCPM is dynamic CPM. What this means is that the advertiser runs on CPM basis but has a CPA target that he wants to meet and can adjust the CPM rates according to his performance. The good thing about dCPM is that like CPM, you get paid on each and every impressions, so if your site's visitors are relevant to the advertisers target audience, you can expect to get good revenue but on the flip side, if you have low quality site visitors or that they are not relevant to the advertisers campaigns, you will be getting low CPMs.
My company just published a good article about the various media buying models that might help you understand how they work.

dCPM also allows you to combine technical aids in order to better the quality of the purchased media by telling RMX what conversion was good and what conversion wasn't (it's called a server side pixel).
