One of the greatest epics on TV and it's pretty much on it's last season But a lot is happening from the bind the Mayor has the police force in to Marlo making moves. Surely there's enough intelligent folks in here who appreciates a good series that involves parallel storylines that ties in nicely with each other. Seriously, I'm gonna be missing this show 10000000 times more then I miss the Sopranos once final episode is shown
I've caught it here and there - but it doesn't capture my attention like some other shows...like The Shield. Now that show will keep your attention, and its not even on HBO!!
Haha Yea I caught The Shield too, great show, except it's the reverse of not holding my interest. Definitely gonna have to catch the past season on DVD or something (then again I said the same thing about 24... oops ) At least with The Wire I kept up with the plot thru all 5 seasons (including the somewhat off 2nd season which finally ties in somewhat with the overall plot this season).
I know this is an old post but comparing "The Shield" to "The Wire" as far as being captivating? Hahahahahahah! The Wire hands down! Hey.....to the "real" Wire fans. Did you know that in season 5 when Omar gets set-up in the Condo shoot out that the guy he was with that got killed was the REAL life Omar?
The Wire hasn't aired in AU yet (coming in Nov apparently, along with electricity and sliced bread). I'm about to start watching season 2 on DVD. So far, it's nowhere near as good as what I've heard. BUT, I respect the opinion of the people that have recommended it to me, so I'm going to give it time. McNulty ain't no Sipowicz.
