Hey guys, Here's the deal. I own the domain "FarFromIt.com". It has been registered since 2009(some places show a 2012 reg date, but that just because I changed registrars. actual reg date is 2009). In 2012, a guy I know wrote and released a book called "Far From It". I became an affiliate through clickbank and started using my domain to sell his book as an affiliate.(his site is farfrom.it) My site has always ranked between number 1 and number 3 for the term "Far From It". Back in the end of August, I was working on the site a bit and I did a meta refresh forward on the index and sent the traffic straight to the clickbank affiliate page while I was working. One of the changes I made was to change permalinks(I found out later this is not a good thing to do). Anyway...during the day I was working, Google decided to crawl my site during those hours and saw the meta refresh. They took my site off the google results for "Far From It". I got all the coding fixed...including the permalinks change, and got my site back up within a day. It took about 10 days, but after 10 days I was right back up to the top of Google for the term "Far From It". All seemed well. BUT....it was short lived. My site was on the top of Google for about a week, and then it dropped off entirely for the term "Far From It" around the 17th of Sept. However, sites that had nothing to do term...and newly registered domains and newly launched sites were where I used to be. NOW....I find that I am at least on page 3 for "Far From It". But it isnt my main page. A bunch of my pages are showing up for the term "Far From It" further down the results, but my main page doesnt show up ANYWHERE. I am not really a website designer and/or SEO guy, so I have NO idea what is going on here. Anyone have any suggestions? Bing still has my site right at the top.
