I don't know where in the hell I would find the time to start a fake life when I don't have all the time I need for the real one I have :$ It sounds like fun though.

Can you get married in the game? If so I think I'll pick up a copy and sign up, then play just long enough to make a ton of gold so I can find a woman and get married. Soon after I'll chop of her head with my axe and go back to reality;)

Yes it is, if you find yourself in the DP chatroom more than you should be, don't even think about playing world of warcrack. Google WOW addiction, there are actually support groups, lol.

if you dont fly an apache, or a you dont drive a tank, or a boat, or a black hawk... or you are not a sniper.. then this game is not good at all.

I play Guild Wars rather than WOW although a lot of my friends play WOW I just cant see how it is worth paying every month to play online. At least Guild Wars is free.

Can you play WOW locally or is it all online?

All online. You can get emulated servers which are free to play on, and can play some neat mods such as 10x XP and infinite gold ect, but they're often laggy, unpatched and are illegal. I definately think it's worth paying for games every month if you play for 20+ hours/month and it ensures ingame support and game updates.

Guild Wars is 'ok' as a game, but really boring after you're level 20 (which takes only a few days on average). It can be good if you've got 7 mates who play aswell, for the actual Guild battles with mics and tactics, but random PVP teams always lose. The thing I love about Guild Wars is the amount of PVP which can go on at once, 8v8v8v8v8v8 battles all at once is great.

I never really took to WoW, I'm not patient with games, and I think WoW was slow for me. But with 5 million subscribers, Blizzard taking nearly $1 billion/year in subscription payments alone, they're not doing too bad.

Don't worry, you won't stay up late if you play these kinds of games, you just won't sleep :) Infact, a guy from China died a few months ago as he played WoW for days without any sleep. Another guy in China was murdered as he stole someones weapon (ingame), the guy was so pissed off that he murdered him in real life.
