Anybody here experienced the Digg Effect before?

    Or was the traffic just crap and simply raped your server?

    I have never had converted traffic from that site, it seems like mostly fluff traffic

    Hehe yeah I suffered from the digg effect, well in my case the slashdot effect.

    My websites stood upto the 700k visitors in a shor space of time, my hosting provider however shut my website down for a day after a couple of hours!

    Yep, its never converting. All you get is a few 10s at the maximum. But maybe if you've got more friends who can digg your work, then there could be a rush !

    I never experienced the digg effect but as you said, the traffic is definitely crap and useless :)
