I created a blog on blogger domain. I put 60 odd contents there. Created only 9 back links so far. How many back links you recommend to be enough to catch traffic. If you have time please make a review of my blog. The url is given in the signature.
    Thanks for responding.

strange topics, your heading Way to Hapiness, and your blog Keeping Bones Healthy, wow healthy bones is the new hapiness. God Bless You.
Not sure how popular healthy bones is, but maybe it will work for you, I did not see any ads anywhere, maybe you have not got an account yet.

Maybe you should spend time choosing what keywords you want to push, and base your blogs around keywords to be picked up by search engines.

    Good Luck...

I would look into getting a backlink packet to help jumpstart your backlinking endeavors if you google "angela's backlink packets" or "paul's backlink packets" you should find some useful information there.

Traffic is all about ranking in the search engines, make sure you are doing your keyword research and taking your time with it to find keywords that are long and easy to rank for....

For instance is one of your keywords "keeping bones healthy" ? If it is, then you are doing a few things wrong, first of all the keyword needs to appear 1%-2% of the time in your articles. This is known as keyword density. To find this use this equation:

    # of times a keyword appears divided by the # of words in your article.

If this number is higher than less than .01 or higher than .02 you have an issue.

Next, you want to make sure your keywords are easy to rank for, for instance:

Here is the breakdown for the term "keeping bones healthy"

Keeping Bones Healthy - 9,870,000 results
"Keeping Bones Healthy - 27,900 results
intitle: "Keeping Bones Healthy" 106 results

This is great! This keyword should be easy to rank for because it has a very low number of intitle results, I usually like keywords with 1,000 results or less.

However, your keyword doesn't get searched. SO even if you were ranking for it, which you are not, you wouldn't be getting very much if any traffic from it.

I did a bit of research and came up with an example of a good keyword you might want to use.

"Healthy Bones and Joints" might be a better keyword for you to attempt to rank for it has an intitle competition of 263, and gets searched 170 times a month. If you were ranking #1 for this term, you could potentially get 50-170 visits to your site that is highly targeted.

Ideally rule of thumb for me is intitle competition of 5,000 or less and 1,000 or more searches each month.

60 posts are fine for now. you can add one or 2 new posts every week or so to keep the blog fresh.

in terms of backlinks, 9 links is nowhere near enough to start getting traffic given that they are average backlinks. you need LOTs of backlinks, more the better. how many backlinks you need depends on your competition. just keep building backlinks and never stop till you rank high and start getting traffic. You can read this article on various link building methods to get an idea on whats available out there: http://www.goarticles.com/cgi-bin/showa.cgi?C=2146887

Backlinking is a full-time job. Meaning it is going to be a task that you need to dedicate time to every day to achieve results. Also do not expect to see traffic from backlinking overnight. In fact, it will be sometime before you see any results regardless of the amount of backlinks you create.

At some point it will occur to you that marketing is about people... not "catching" traffic from links.
