Came accross this little piece of software on ebay and though for 1c i would give it a try.

There has been some evidence that it is working.

But curious to find out if anyone else has tried it

Im assuming what it actually does is Spam peoples comments. Personally I would stay away from this kind of thing as you get very little benefit (Most comments have nofollow tags) for the possible headache.

If you see the software , you would probably get the feeling like I did that this is just a way to sell itslef , their website charges $30 for the product (and I guess I got it on Ebay for 1c to get the advertising out there ?)

It'll definitely be spam. I am getting many spam comments for my blog every day and I have to filter them out, it's a painstaking process, but it's something I have to do...I'm getting nearly 20-30 of them a day that is hidden between all of my real user's comments.

On top of that, you may deface the value of your own site, because if you try to flip and sell, 95% of your traffic will be from spam...

    But I guess for $0.01, you can't go wrong...right?

Unless your site in turn disappears from Google...Then it would be the most expensive thing you bought in a while

A while back I was looking into this stuff and it seems to basically spam your comments onto loads of blogs. I seem to remember the faq's saying that although the links had the nofollow attribute they were still counted and some search engines ignored nofollow. After that I didn't buy it.

Why would it be banned by google. Can anyone confirm if that is possibility. If that was the case people would use that for their competitors and get them banned from google :D

If you use WordPress and Spam Kharma, you can set comments to be blocked if they have any links in them. Commenting party puts a link in the comments and it goes right to moderation.

I've never heard of the software, but the creators and people who use it should be stripped naked, hauled down to the center of town and taken care of. They are harmful to the community and ruin it for everyone else.
