I had a RAZR before & now a RAZR2 , & both are really good for sending SMSes. The RAZR2 even has the capability to send a message without opening the phone. You should try opening the Gallery in N70 while the camera is On, it takes about 40 seconds , to open
Interesting. My gallery in the N80 only takes about 5 seconds or less to open. Note that the N80 has the latest version of the Symbian OS. So maybe they fixed some of those slow problems. At least I can say I've had no problems with the speed of the phone. And its great at multitasking too. I can use the MP3 player, radio, phone & satellite navigation all at the same time. Only issue I have is even with Adobe Reader on it it wouldnt open a 2MB+ pdf file. Said it was out of memory. Rebooted the phone but still wouldnt open it. Shame as I was looking forward to read some of my IM ebooks on it. Maybe a smaller pdf will open. Yes, the screen is very high resolution that even very small print can be easily read. Great for web surfing too. Very happy with it.
