i have a nephew who is 11 years old. He wants to be like his unkle and have his own website, so trying to teach him the value of a dollar i told him he would have to earn the money online himself like i once did so i started a egold account for him and some ppr accounts (were he makes 1/4cents a click) and his has gotten all the way up to $8.35 and it will cost him $12.99 on egold domains to buy a dot com so if anyone feels like giving him a little boost up to 13 dollars i am sure he would appreciate it. the e-gold account number is 4371827.

it has taken him over 8 months to reach 8 dollars and i think he is getting tired of it.

if nobody puts any in by the end of next week i will add it myself but i know he does not want my help on this one. Thanks

Let him wait, so that he knows the value of money and how hard it is to earn money. It would be good experience for him. Though I do not think such public solicitations are correct in the first place especially in this forum. There are rules against asking for money.

Asking for money and earning money are two different things. It's not a worthy cause either, maybe like a charity or non profit org.

It is worthy cause for an uncle to do, but not for the general public at all. The OP should be doing this rather than post here asking for money.

I agree wholeheartedly with both of these. How can asking for donations teach anyone the value of earning money? And if he is already getting tired of it how will he deal with promoting a website etc etc.?

If he is only making $1 a month, he should do something else besides the ppr

the only reason i was asking for heilp is because he is 11 years old and I can see his patience is wearing thin. the reason he only does ppr is because that is the only thing i can think of that he wouldnt have a problem with. I checked out that link for egold domain names that are cheaper but they want a 30 % surcharge so the total for a dot com is 9.29 so he is still a dollar short. BUT I realise now that asking for money is not allowed here so please disregard my attemp and i will give him the dollar myself. he will probly never know were it came from anyways. Thanks for the help though.

Here now, $13 is nothing. If he's stuck at it for 8 months and got $8 odd from what he's done then good on him, I know it must be hard at that age to make much money, online or offline.
Just give him the few $'s left to go and let him start a website, help him with it, hell it'd be something you can do together, a father/son bonding thing (thats one thing my dad did when I was 13/14 that i've never thanked him enough for, and i'm 19 now teaching him stuff about it. Well he let me have a subdomain and put a site up on it, doubt it got many visitors or anything, but it was nice none the less). You could even set up adsense or something on it (in your name of course as your son is under 18) and give him the money when it comes through.

He said he did but they ask for 30% surcharge...so it'd be $9 something.
