Do you mean it takes you 15 days to get one keyword in 4th position of google?
For which keyword so i can check it out.



Guys can you all backup your rankings with some proof.

I've had up to 15 keywords on the front page, even position number one on 10 of them. All this took was unique content. Low competition for the keywords and a good back link building regime Good luck to you.

 

We're talking a micro sports niche...one that gave me only about 175 UV's ..but a carefully designed page can lead to strong conversions on that small amount.

If your site is new/young...forget about it in most cases. If you're trying to get to the top of a highly competitive Key-Word, good luck.

Sports work for me because you see high searches after big games like the Super-Bowl. My Keyword included 'Drew Brees' in it...not your most competitive keyword by itself, so hopefully this example helps.

 

There is no hidden secret for gaining rankings and improving them. Content and links are things which you need to work on. Now it all depends on how you work on your site. I'd also like to add that it sounds easy, but it's not that easy because of competition. I'd also suggest you to read threads on forum, and posts on blog to gain knowledge about latest trends.

I have a website which I rank up in the SERP in the first page of google and you can done that by optimizing such a keyword. Keyword will be act as the base of your optimization for that. Your site can go in the 1st page of google by doing a good and effective link building strategies. You can do forum posting, blog commenting, article submission in making your backlinks and don't forget to learn new techniques on doing a good optimization that would be a good one too.

Yes, I may have misunderstood your question. Those 40 keywords on Google's page one are spread over all pages of the website, not just the home page. I optimize every page for a few keywords.

 

well guys i need to have more quality backlink and i need to wait untill google spiders the keywords i have optimized.
I hope i dont have to wait a year before google puts the keywords in their search engine.I know my site is still new(1 month) but i am heavily optimizing it.
blog commenting,article writing/submission,search engine submission and many more.
All pages were indexed a week ago so i think all will be fine.

My site is on page 1 for several very competitive terms (see signature). The factors were lots of pages of good and relevant content, age of domain, continued updates through blogging from the site and constant link building.

 

Not to brag, many of my sites are in the top 10 and it honestly wasn't all that hard getting them up there.

You need to find GOOD keywords to target, optimize your on page SEO (keyword density of about 6%) then go ahead and see if you can find some high PR links. There is software which can automate this for you. After that you're pretty much set.

Keyphrase analysis and selection is the #1 most important part of SEO for any website.

 

I have a website that is #1 for my main keyword only part of the day for the word picking lottery numbers, then other parts of the day I can find my site on page 2 or 3 does anyone else have anything like this happen it's weird. I only have 2 backlinks for it so as soon as I get more backlinks it should hopefully stay at #1. I don't even have the keyword in my domain name, but one trick is to make sure your keyword is in your title of your post and in your post a few times.

I meant for the keywords mp3 downloads, download mp3 free and for the other site watch movies online,watch movies.
These are main keywords.


I do keyword analysis off course.I use google keyword tool for this.
I only use keywords that have massive search results, but with massive search results comes massive competition.

If someone has any opinion about my keywords and has better tips please dont hesitate to react.

 

first i did complete onpage optimization for the website then offpage optimization which include directory submission, blog submission, article submission, link exchange, classifieds. I regularly upadte my content and add pages with fresh content. I regularly do analysis of website to find where my site lack and improve that weakness.

First you need to check keyword traffic. Example in our case, the worldwide search for cooking class, the third word is "tuscany", and that is like a third of the total request, that is what people look to do when they come to Tuscany. It's impossible to get on first page unless you have a lot of time, or money, competition is aggressive and if we could have got to 5th page easily, every step further requires double energy as it's an incremental number. So what you have to do is to look for niche words. So, for istance tuscan, courses, classes are maybe 5% of the total search, but you can get easier (as we did) get on first page there. So, as someone said (GC) better first in Paris than second in Rome.
Important is to get a dofollow checker, I have got one now and found that most of my reciprocals and third party are nofollow....

@OP theres the answer from Jim, in other words years of study and tweaking through trial and error through hands on work that gives you the first hand experience you need to do good solid "White Hat" SEO

The key to it is helping the SE's to improve the search results for eveyone, EG matching up what is most likely in the mind of a searcher making a search query the best and most relevantly thus making the internet a better place for everyone that uses it.

Do that and the search engines will reward you helping them return better search results Sir
