I am going on a vacation there in the summer and I was wondering if someone is living there and can tell me if it is a nice place to visit.

Hampstead as in the London suburb?
Speaking of London generally it's not a bad place to visit - lots to see, good food, great transport links and friendly enough folk. Places to visit:

    - Buckingham Palace, The Mall, Admiralty Arch, Horseguards, Trafalgar Square, Whitehall, Houses of Parliament (you can walk around that route in about 45 minutes)
    - Greenwich (Observatory, Maritime Museum, Cutty Sark and lots of nice pubs and eateries)
    - Covent Garden (Markets, pubs, restaurants)
    - The West End (Theatres, cinemas)
    - Soho (Sex shops)
    - The South Bank (London Eye, Tate Modern, Wobbly Bridge)
    - The City (St Paul's Cathedral, Bank of England, Stock Exchange)
    - Tower of London (Crown jewels, military museums, ravens, men in funny costumes)
    - Lots of museums, most of them with free entry (Imperial War Museum, Science Museum, National Gallery, Natural History Museum)

It's quite an expensive place even for most English people who visit. If you eat in the suburbs it's less than in the heart of the city. Travel by public transport (buses, tube, DLR, ferry) is pretty cheap. You can pick up cheap essentials in Tesco locals dotted about the place.

That's all I can think of at the moment.

By the way what is the London eye - a museum of some sort or what ?

The London Eye is a large wheel which you can go up in, and look out over london, like a fair ground ride, but you have to pay quite a bit for it.

So does anyone know how much exactly does a ticket for this London eye cost ?
I will be having a minimum of 200 pounds. Do you guys think this will be enough or should I bring more money ?

Standard flight adult (16 plus) £14.50
Standard flight child (5-15 years) £7.25
    Standard flight under five FREE
Standard flight senior (60 plus)* £11.00
    Standard flight disabled** £11.00

Prices for london eye, I would say £200 is enough.

£200 is your entire spending money?
You would spend that in London within 2 or 3 days no problem at all.
If you're there for any more than a couple of days I'd suggest you bring some more.

Sorry but you'll need more than £200 if you want to go around London, do some shopping, visit attractions.

You've got to be careful here... it sounds like you don't have much idea how much things cost. Be sure to do your homework beforehand so that you don't get ripped off. It's not likely, but these things do happen.
