Hi, I wanted to know if Anyone feels like they got screwed when Bing took over Yahoo's search engine here in the U.S All my site's were on Yahoo's first page, most at the #1 position. Then the second Bing took over Yahoo's search all my sites dropped or disappeared from Yahoo's U.S Search engine. all these years on Yahoo's #1 gone in a second. I always knew this would happened when it was rumored that a deal was being done. I have nothing against Bing, but just because you have a good rank on Google doesn't not mean a good rank On Bing. They are funny on how they rank sites. Is anybody else upset about the merger? I read it is only for the U.S search engine, but that is the market most of us targets...
I don't like the merger just because of the fact there is less competition, and I guess I did rank better with yahoo then bing as well. Bummer. The only good I see coming from it is perhaps a really good advertiser publisher system from bing. Yahoo was horrible with that...
Bing algo has really improved in the last few months. Yahoo was too easily exploited, most site only need to have the correct keyword in their domain and whola its ranked at the first page. Ironically, Bing taking over Yahoo makes it a bit fairer than before.
I have to agree with this, it was far to easy to rank high on yahoo.... I think Bing will end up taking over yahoo though. it will end up being a two SE market...
