Anybody else using Google Trends?

I've been using google trends to make a few hundred bucks per week. I know how to see the top 100 searched terms in Google for the day (simply goto google.com/trends and click "more hot trends"). My question is, is there a way to see hot trends from last week or month or year?

You can only see individual days, by clicking the calendar and then the day / date.

You can use insights for week, month, year etc.

    http://www.google.com/insights/search/#

But it wont automatically show you the hottest searches, just results fro your key word or search term.

If you're looking at the "More hot trends page" the words "Change Date" should appear under today's date. If you look you can see the hot trends for any day of your choosing. It goes all the way back to May 2007 when google trends first went public I believe.

I use trends when I am looking for a niche that is on the uprise. If you select the date you can go back to see if a particular niche has increased or decreased in the last few months. Its a great tool to use if your using pay per click advertising.
