Hello DPers, I had a Clickbank account and I've been promoting clickbank's products with this account for more than one and a half years, in the way of adwords. Less than a month ago i found someone promoting products using twitter and then i just follow their mothod: Following other's twitter accounts and advertising in my twitter account's status. Several days later i found my hops link was suspended. I contactd the Clickbank and they replied me in email saying: This account has been deactivated due to spam complaints. No more words. Then i logged in my account and i found my Payment status was: Suspended. I have a balance of about 4,000$ in my account not paying me and only hundreds of dollars in it were maken using that twitter way. Then i contacted Clickbank for the details and the money many times, using Email, Live webchat, and the Online Submit. The live chat suggested me to contact Clickbank Security, but i got no reponse from Clickbank Security after several emails and Online question submiting from now on. Now I don't know what to do to get my money. Anybody can help me? Any help would be appreciatived.
It may take a long time to get your money back. From the experience that I got from some affiliates, it would take you at least 6 months and you should write about 30 emails to cb, then you would get the money. Send cb a formal request, like the lawyer writes, to ask for your money. If cb doesn't want to pay you, you should say you would take legal measures to solve this issue. I hope this help you get your money back. Good luck, mate.
I think you need to read their terms regarding such issues, I don't think they can forfeit your money!
I think it could take 6 months or so to get the money owed as CB will hold it until a time when no chargebacks could be issued by people who bought through your link. Speaking with them by phone and clarifying what the status is may help - it will also remove any concerns you have. You may also be able to give a full explanation that it was only recently you started using that system - also find out whether you are permitted to start a new CB account (and use older method of adwords etc). Maybe CB should make an announcement about any techniques they do not condone - it will save plenty of affiliates from wasting their time. Phoning them and speaking to someone is probably the best thing you can do to get everything cleared up.
Stick to ftc guide and promote without spamming read the clickbank policy again to see whether you can get your money back.
Clickbank is very lenient as far as banning affiliates is concerned and they rarely do this. You probably were unlucky enough to have someone recognize your Clickbank links wherever you spammed them, and then went on to send an e-mail to their abuse department, which suspended your account. Word of caution, take it easy with spamming. If you go flat-out spam twitter it's a matter of time until someone reports you. Stick to cleaner white hat ways of promoting to avoid this. It's okay to sometimes be a bit aggressive with your promotion of a product, but flat-out spamming can get you in trouble with Clickbank. They're especially sensitive when e-mail spam is done. Since their tech support team can be somewhat slow, best bet would be to give them a call by phone.
I'd suspect a competitor ratted you out. Perhaps even the person whose method you copied. Of course, I'm both suspicious (and naughty) by nature. But, not cuz I hate ya. Perhaps you should turn this problem into a business opp. If it truly takes 30 e-mails to get a response, you could set up an autoresponder service that sends an e-mail a day for 30 days on behalf of disgruntled affiliates.
