Anybody bought a laptop with income from your directory? I have a dream about this and i am going to set this as my goal.

I was going to buy one a few months ago, especially since summer is coming soon, but then I thought, 'sh*t, if im going to lay out by the pool, then why in the hell would i bother bringing my work with me when im trying to relax and get away for a few hours'

So with that being said, out went the idea of getting a laptop.

 

Laptops, u get in few thousand dollars. So not that difficult. Make a good directory and finally sell it for for few thousand bucks and u can buy laptop easily. It will take u 4 - 5 months though

Yes, i bought myself a laptop from the revenue i had from my earlier directories, by selling those and making custom templatse.

i bought a Sony Vaio




this one from my directory revenue ... and now recovered all my money and profit its way faster than my desktop

 

One of my greatest dream is to buy is a MacBook. Currently I can't afford INR 60K. But I will buy one before next year.

BTW, there is a very simple idea for making good money, do you know what?

nah, I didn't buy a laptop, but I paid bills

 

I brought a nice laptop a few months back, so i don't think i need another just yet

 

may I know some specifications of it? I actually want a laptop since the prices are so low these days. The desktop I'm using is custom built 2 years ago. I saved close to $500. But with the same money, you can buy the very similar PC at office depot now how annoying.

 

Mine was £500($1k) - 1gb ram, 19inch flat screen, and i can't remember the rest.. The network at home has broken, so i'm on the PC alot more now.

 

Hmm it is posible but in 5-8 months of running the directory .....

I honestly wish you luck, if you have a goal your more likely to accomplish it and make a nicer directory in the process.

But 95% of directories are worth peanuts, plus Google giving you PR is a big factor in how much money you turn over.. and this only happens quarterly. So unless you gather a PR4 worth of backlinks by "probably" April, your looking at another 3 months after that before you start earning some change.

 

It is possible but you have to invest money in your directory also..I've purchased Dell Inspiron after i sold my dir

i do have a notebook which is toshiba satellite model. For those who have laptops do you find convenient to work with widescreen?? i feel something different working under widescreen conditions after long time working with desktop. Looks like most notebooks come with widescreen nowadays.
