I tried to make my wp-content folder writeable and then all of a sudden all my plugins deactivated and I'm getting error messages in the plugin control admin window: Warning: in_array(): Wrong datatype for second argument in /home/passinre/public_html/wp-admin/plugins.php on line 9 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/passinre/public_html/wp-admin/plugins.php:9) in /home/passinre/public_html/wp-admin/plugins.php on line 16 What the heck is going on? Any ideas? the writeable thing may be completely unrelated I guess. Grrrrr..... it appears I can only have one plug in active at once? huhn?
I have many plugins active at once. I suppose it's possible to have conflicting plugins, however your post indicates that your problems occurred after trying to make your "wp-content folder writeable". How were you trying to do that? By changing folder permissions via chmod? First I would try to get whatever settings that I changed back to their original state. Then if the problem persisted, I would remove all the plugins from the plugins folder and try again.
Only one that can do this to my site all the time! I am trying to fix it again, but I betcha in a day or more, it will end up the same. http://www.informationcontent.net See how everything is one long scroll? No right side at all, it is at the bottom.
When your formatting suddenly blows up (normally you lose the right or left column) that typically indicates that there is a formating problem with a single post. Maybe a line "wrap-around" issue or something like that (ie; a very long URL ). iowadawg, in your case it's your post "The toughest word game on the net…" that is causing the problem. When you click on that post the resulting page still has the formatting issue. When you click on the other two posts the formatting snafu goes away. There's something funky about that first post.
Another way to make the error go off is, Warning: in_array(): Wrong datatype for second argument in /home/passinre/public_html/wp-admin/plugins.php on line 9 1. By using your ftp software, go to your wp-content\plugin 2. download all the plugin that's the plugin directory to your local drive 3. then delete all the plugin (this is to check which of the plugin that is giving you trouble, do this, only if you are still haven't install other plugin) 4. Ok. Once you have delete all the plugin, use your browser to go to yout plugin setting( in the admin area). 5. Try upload 1 of the plugin that you have just download to the plugin directory using FTP software. 6. Refresh your browser that is on the plugin area 7. Activate the plugin that you see in the plugin list. 8. See if it give you any error? if no, repeat the no.5 9. If yes, then the plugin that you just upload to it, might have conflict. ps: There is 2 plugin in wordpress that cannot be activated or used together in your default first WP installation. Hope this will help.
