    Hi everyone,

Is there any web designers out there who wouldn't mind giving me their email address or adding me on msn so I can ask a few questions at all? They're just based around web design as an industry etc :)

Please PM me with details if you wouldn't mind. It'd be very much appreciated since I'm wanting to learn more about the industry.

    Thanks in advance,
    Sam

Are you looking for a mentor to teach you how to start in the web design industry?
Are you looking for someone to teach you a few things about how to do actually design and develop?
Is this some kind of dissertation?

Makes sense to let us know what you require help with here as the guy above said.

Thanks for the replies, I just have a few questions about web designing in general and a few on things to do with my own site/blog. It's hard to ask questions about your own blog here without posting the link to it and allowing everyone to see it. I suppose it's not a bad thing really but I was just wondering if anyone who is into web designing and seo wouldn't mind giving me a few pointers on my blog and also answering a few questions about the industry and how they're doing in it etc. I'm wondering what direction to go in now and whether web designing is right for me or to push myself in graphic design or photography so I figured you guys would know best who actually design websites as part of a business or hobby.

    Thanks and best regards,
    Sam

Haha thanks, I will post a thread and ask. I always feel bad asking questions which so many others will already know the answers to but I have to say, this forum is by far the most active and has the best information to offer so they will probably have the best answers. Thanks all for the replies :)

I think if you want a full on discussion, just post it here in the forum. Much easier to track and manage

I'm just gonna say that webdesign is a supra saturated market and unless you're really good you're gonna die of starvation in the UK .

My advice would be to have web design as just one aspect of your portfolio. Get a few programming languages under your belt and you'll do better.

Thankyou all for the advice. I'm going to need a lot more knowledge and experience before I start doing it properly but I'm definitely making progress which is a positive :)
