Any way to place 'Display Options' above thread list?

Is there any way to do so? I like to view 100 threads at a whack, but I also prefer to view thread start date descending -- as opposed to last post time which seems to be the default. Unfortunately, I have to scroll through each forum to get to the drop-down to change it to what I want. I wouldn't have to scroll if I showed much fewer threads, but, again, I like to see a hundred at a time.
