I don't use one of the blog methods listed, but my site does have RSS & Atom feed of the homepage, but entering either one doesn't work. Any chance of making a Joomla RSS or Atom feed work on here?

In theory you should be able to manage getting your siteto appear in the Recent Blog: section, however...

If you go to feedburner.com and add your feed, as long as it is one of the formats that feedburner you can then use "Convert Format Burner" to turn it into an atom 0.3 feed (as required by recent blog) but it doesn't seem to work.

The only differences I can see in the feed burned to 0.3 from a Joomla feed, and my working feed, are the lack of <author> tags in the Joomla feed and the fact that the content is enclosed in <summary> tags rather than <content> tags.

If coded well neither of these would upset the blog parser as all it needs are the <title> and <link> sections of the <entry>

Actually, it's coded exactly how it's intended to work. It's supposed to only work with direct feeds from the supported blogs.

OK, sorry if I caused offense, but in my business we live by the mantra "Be strict in what you produce, accepting in what you read".

If your intention was to limit the Recent Blog feature to users of specific versions of specific tools then it is properly coded.
