Not unless you know a friendly editor.
It took 2 years for me to get listed in DMOZ.

This is the only thing we can do. And make your site more and more famous and value, the editor will add your site.

The fastest way without making a bribe with some unethical DMOZ editor is to make sure your site is perfect in every aspect before do submission. Just submit and forget it.

There are plenty of DP members are editor. You can find them here. However, I do not think it would help your site got listed easier by any personal contact to them. Most of them are ethic DMOZ editors and I do believe they will not accept any kind of bribe.

Submit and forget. No shortcuts. Offering money will certainly get your site banned for ever and if you are that keen to be listed you will not want to risk that.
It can take from a few days to a few years for a review with a view to possible listing. But we are not a listing service for web owners.

It does not even look listable to me. Not remotely close to having enough content.

Like I tell everyone always, just submit once and forget about it. There is no point for you to chase after a DMOZ listing.

    Odd.

I loked at the site, it loads and then 10 secs later without touching anything it redirects to a different url. Repeated the process and the exact same thing again. Seems like an auto redirection to advertisors. The first time it was insurance, the second was something else.

Why is this? I cant say i have seen this happen before.

Well I really don't know why such happening! But OK! I have removed all ads from my site! now let me know if it is still happening!
If it happens again then it's really a serious problem!

    Do one of the following:
    1) bribe an editor (quickest way and a traditional culture of the site)
    2) apply to be an editor and slip your link on the site
    3) make friends with an editor

I tried submitting my site to DMOZ about 6 or 7 months ago and still nothing. From what I've heard, it is just a matter of waiting for an editor to put you in there. That's the ethical way of course, many of us won't go down the path of bribery and deceit.

DMOZ is submit and forget directory. I am also trying to get listed many sites but no luck. I have even applied to be an editor but they rejected my application 10 times :p

just submit then wait (not forget) as I know they need time about 2 weeks to approve one site..
then you can try to re submit on the next month...
