Any way to eliminate full 120 X 600 ad from single advertiser?

    Hello,

I am receiving many 120 X 600 ads where a single advertiser takes up the full block. I assume they are targeted. These ads do not convert well and are highly redundant. Is there any way to allow the targeted ads but only in the standard form of 4 ads per block.

I am hoping I will not need to block the advertiser or eliminated the targeted ads.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

You can switch the ad contents to "text only" if I am understanding your question correctly.

    Thank you shantanubala,

Yes, the ads are text only. I am being served 120 X 600 text ads with a larger font, only one ad, and a lot of blank space.

    Competitive Ad Filter.
Block that URL using that and within a day or two, it will vanish.

    Thank you Abhik and config_error,

Sounds like a consensus to me. I was hoping there was a way to do this without blocking an advertiser who has targeted my site. It seems we and the advertiser are both penalized by this format. ???

Either filter it, which doesn't mean another advertiser won't do the same thing, or switch it to "image only". And those agreeing with "shantanubala" obviously didn't read names2buy's second post that "It IS set to text only". It always amazes me how many post without reading...just to post!

pls remember that adsense tries to continuously optimize the ad serving for users as well as publishers... a full ad is generally shown when adsense determines that the CPM of 4 ads would be less < CPM of that 1 ad.

In any case if you are not getting any $$ through click you would definitely get some money out of impressions served (CPM).

My advise is unless and until the ad is not relevant to your content you should never remove it.
