Hi I have been having some success with the large 336 x 280 square, but I noticed that sometimes there are 4 ads in the box and sometimes there are 3. When it has just 3 ads the text is clearer to read and I am pretty certain that the ctr probably increases. So what I wanted to know is there a way of limiting the amount of ads appearing in the box to 2 or 3 instead of 4?? Thanks in advance!
Nope, no way you can control this as far as I know. Google randomly shows 3 or 4 links, according to what it thinks would have the best result.
IF I could limit the number of ads to 3, then I would use the 336x280 exclusively. But four ads are too many, and they look ugly, jam packed together with the large font. That's why I always use the 250x250, because it ALWAYS serves 3 ads maximum - never 4. . .
You can restrict google adsense to show ads only related to your website , but can't restrict it to show any particular number of ad links per ad box. By showing the quality ads you can increase your ad revenue. Follow the link & read the post. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1704649 Hope this is help you. Thanks, Jimmy
However, you can write more "targetted" articles. The more targeted your pages are, the higher chance of Google showing 1-2 ads versus 3-4 ads.
