Any values to submit to coupon site?

    Hi,

Just wonder if I propose a discount coupon for my software products, are there any
values to submit the coupon to various coupon sites? Will it increase the backlinks and SEO? Or will it help to promote the products? If yes, then are there any good list of coupon sites to be submitted?

    Thanks

I don't have any experience with this but I am a coupon user. I would think the type of software products you're trying to promote would determine where you would place the coupons. For example, tax software would be good to advertise on a variety of coupon sites as this is something with a wide audience that a lot of people are looking for and you will have some audience on each coupon site. However, a software for audio files, is going to have a more niche audience and most likely they won't be looking for coupons for your audio software on a coupon site. Promote your products where your intended audience is.

Nope, until and unless your product is WELL KNOWN.

90% Coupon websites receive the traffic from organic search, and people only search for BRAND.

No matter if you place your coupon on Thousand of Coupon Websites (there are zillions of available), people never pay attention/appreciate for newbie.

People come to coupon website just for the short time; they look for that particular brand/product; and they are OUT of the website with in few secs.

I also recommend not to think about getting back links from these websites, because these website are vulnerable, and they see too much UPs and DOWN in their SERPs & PR.

Try to use some other techniques for link development, and good good off-page and on page SEO. Dont even think of getting back links from these websites.

    Try Guest Posting
Asking bloggers to review your product, and posting an article on their website/blog
    Social Marketing
    Social Bookmarking
Offer free copies of your product to some good webmaster forums
Do blog commenting on niche specific blogs
....there are more ways ( i just listed few of them)

    best of luck.

Coupons are an excellent form of promotion for your brands, products, and services. They do have some SEO value, because I sometimes see them in SE results. However, they're more for driving traffic to your site than they are for making you visible in the SEs.

Most if not all the websites offering coupons, use a redirect for external links. However, they are a good way to promote your products and services.

I talk from the experience of managing http://www.couponsitescript.com/:
Most coupon sites use redirect and no follow - so no SEO.
If you are not a brand the chance of people actually seeing your coupon is small.
There is no automated way to promote your coupon to lots of coupon sites. Here there are 2 options:
    a. paid coupon sites ( that gather coupons from the net and deliver to coupon sites ), but people are picky here ... since the pay for the coupons. So small chances to take yours if you are not a brand.
    b. Join affiliate networks as vendor and place the coupon there. From there affiliates might take your coupon.

Nice point above, but i thing if you will do the coupon submission with your brand name , then you will get the traffic and popularity of your brand too... it will not help your website seo backlink but your website can get the some traffic...

    Thanks!
