Any Update

Does anyone heard about Google Algo update? I m just conscious as one of my fellows website get down in ranking for few keywords.. it was being ranking earlier..

Please answer ASAP.. i m worried

 

Google traffic on my blogs dropped significantly, but apparently I'm not the only one, many others are suffering from the algo update too...

 

It happens all the time - it may be because of the Google dance not because of an algo update.

 

SEO Book posted about an algo change and many others are talking about a big change that just happened. It has not affected any of my sites but I believe that some huge changes have of course been made to their algo.

 

Yes, there will be huge changes in search engine rankings, Google are updating algorithm. What i experienced is, Google is giving more weight to only quality back links...it will not give weight to links from non quality websites...we may find some changes in search rankings in near future..

 

google makes update to their algo all the time and each year they make around 500 or so updates to their algo (according to Matt Cutts). keep it to the basics and stop worrying too about the algo change. focus on quality unique content, quality relevant backlinks, and you WILL rank higher. i'm not seeing any decrease in ranking for any of my sites tho, in fact one of my sites that i'm focusing on lately just got improved ranking

 

I have to agree with sultonofseo... If you stick to generating good content and attracting quality links from relevant sites naturally... you will outlast your competitors who are using black hat SEO techniques to 'temporarily' boost their rankings. You will be much less exposed to adverse effects of algorithm changes since since most of those changes are going to be targeted at reducing the effects of black hat SEO techniques on the SERPs.

Algo Update is called Google Dance

 

There is no major update in Google algo, However, Google is doing some experiments with some specific key terms to show the importance of brands...

 

Manish, you really think that is a minor experiment? This is major one my friend and they have been talking about it since almost a year.

Google Dance and Google Algorithm change are different.

 

Ya..I agree, they are working on it for quite long time. But the results have started being visible only from Jan,09. And these changes are made on for some specific key terms and in some specific data centers.... and we could not measure the impact of these changes until Google makes its updated algo fully functional...
