I know I need more content and back-links... Other than that, what tips can you give me on optimizing and ranking with this site.

    Thanks!

First off...get rid of that super spammy list of cities that you cover. You can list the cities, but to follow each city name with 'health insurance'...that is straight up spam/keyword stuffing. The 'companies we work with' list is pretty much spam too since they all link to the same page.

You need to make your website as professional looking as possible. If you make your website good for your visitors, you will gain Google's trust.

You should add a privacy policy too. Also Google likes to see an actual physical address on your contact page.

Wow - I agree with the spammy stuff... you may even get banned from google for that. it's terrible, and every link goes to the same page.... awful.

i'm not sure about Google taking preference over having a physical address on your site, but maybe they do.

I also think it's pretty bad that when you click on [name a city] Health Insurance, it goes directly to a form. I'd never fill that out without further information.

Every link on this page goes to the quotes page too:
    http://quotestx.com/index.php/Texas-Health-Insurance-Carriers.html

You need better content and a better link structure - cause this isn't going to do it. It looks spammy to both users and to google.

Work on that first, then work on getting backlinks (press releases and articles, blogs, social networking, etc)

Your site loads extreamly slow. This is due to the long list you are creating dynamically. Either hard code the list or index the table.

The list is pure spam and Google will apply a sever filter on this.

I doubt Google cares about a physical address, but I can add one. I've deleted the list of cities. I was actually told to do this buy an SEO guy I hired.

I know all of the insurance company links go to the quotes page, but they have to... If a client decides to apply online and clicks on Aetna and it links to their site, I will not be the agent on record. The rate is the same for the client whether they have an agent or not. I don't see any way around this, other than not having links on the company names.

I'm going to start adding a new content page daily. I have 7 years of industry knowledge, so content won't be a problem.

    Any other tips...

Your SEO guy told you to do that??? Fire him.
UNLESS - he meant that each link should point to a different page... a page dedicated to each city. Either way, you're going to get penalized for repeating the phrase "health insurance" 100 times.

And I don't get why each link has to go to the quotes page. Why not have a middle page describing what services you will offer or whatever, then have a "Click here for a quote" page. Right now, if I click on my city's link, I'm probably looking for more information (otherwise I would've clicked the "get a quote" link). You know what I mean? It's misleading.... if I want a quote, I'll click 'get a quote'...

And yes, definitely add content - that's most important.

I like the middle page idea. I could put a little information about each carrier and then a quote link. That makes sense.

Does having the blog help any?

A blog helps - but only if it's frequently updated and if people find the content interesting. I don't know how you can write about Health Insurance consistently - but I don't really know about the field, so maybe you can. People are going to find it interesting enough to come back to read it. The idea of a blog is to gain people's trust in you, show that you're knowledgeable, and in-turn winning over their business.
