I partly disagree. Yes, you need to have good content on your website, obviously, but if you don't put that opt-in form on your site, don't count on the next time visitors show up. If your site has already received visitors, you have potential. Now, ad an opt-in form on your list for more details. As you go along, tweak your content copy. If you've been giving away all the goodies on your website, then obviously they're just there to take stuff for free. So think about doing your content that's useful but different from the stuff you offer in your mailing list
Make them signup on your mailing list and email them everytime you make a new page or have an offer for them. Your mailing list is the best way to store up traffic that you can use at a later date. If you just focus on getting the traffic, sure you might get a few good bursts of visitors every now and then, but at the end of the day it was no different than the day before - unless you are capturing their emails which means you can get them to come back later on.
The contents will really work,... If you have nice content features then your visitors will come back..
Why are you all saying "content" I've seen blogs with barely any visitors and great content it totally depends on the type of content don't stick to the norm do something crazy so people will remember your blog.
You can add latest topic to your site or blog. If a person comes at first time and there is good topic added in it, he or she may come again and again to see latest information to your site or blog.
1. Have them opt-in 2. Ask them to bookmark your page 3. Ask them to set your page as their homepage 4. Give away a free ebook/newsletter/report download that has your websites link in it
Yep... it's all about the content. If the writing is interesting and the reader gains something from their time at your site, then they'll come back. Make sure you update your content regularly too. A returning visitor won't stick around if there's nothing new to read. I hope this helps. Kat Fuschillo
Perhaps you might want to offer limited time contests/bonuses that the visitor can ONLY obtain by visiting your blog/website during a specific timeframe?
