Hello. I'm new to this Pay Per Click Advertising. I have a website, and I'm not sure about somethings, so come here to ask for your opinion. I'm currently running a CPA campaign target for the US, on the background ok my website. (ad2games - ) CPC - 1 Banner 300x250 from ad2games, with default code for CPMStar, in case ad2game adds don't show CPC - 1 Leaderboard, from ad2games, with default code for CPMStar, in case ad2game adds don't show So I have 3 adds in total And, what do you think about the location of the adds? Am I doing it right? What you guys think? Thanks. Website is: www.discoveringgaming.com
the spot seems great. when i was on your site. the first thing i saw was your ad because of the contrast i am gonna assume the CTR is gonna be a killer!
The spots are great, and your quality is pretty good. Don't ever stop posting quality reviews and updating your blog. I'd say up to 3 times a week would be perfect, but just once a week works as well. What are you currently doing to drive traffic?
Hello and thanks to both of you for your opinions! Right now, to get people to visit my website, I'm using Yahoo answers. I try to post informative and helpful answers and than post my website as a source. We also have a youtube channel, where we post gameplay videos, and walkthroughs/guides. And that's it.
Those are both great starts, especially youtube. I can imagine that's converting better for you, but quality Yahoo! Answers are always a great contribution because they're so popular and rank in searches so well. You could also try to join some large, quality gaming forums and include a link to your site in your forum signature. Never reference it, just contribute to review & discussion threads. You can sparingly reference your site, but if you did I would do it like this: [Game You're Reviewing] Review - Originally posted on www.discoveringgaming.com Here you would put your entire review, minus any affiliate links you've added. Then, in the call-to-action at the bottom (usually this is a question at the end of an article encouraging people to post comments), encourage them to discuss it within the thread. Stay on that thread and discuss it with them for the first few pages at least. If you don't want to do this, a quality forum poster (not that $0.10 a post crap) could be a great investment. Some strategies here to utilize might also be, after you've been a solid contributor for at least a month, to message the mods and make sure that you can post a link to your site within your review threads. You can ask about some banner advertising if your posts have been converting well. If you don't have a banner, you can get one made for as low as $5 on a site like fiverr.com. You could also PM high-contributing members and ask if they'd be willing to promote your site in their signature for $x/month. Depending on how well you convert, this could be as high as 10% of the commission you make a month from forum conversions for well-respected posters. Most people on forums are there for fun for free anyway and will jump at the chance to make some extra money just to update their signature.
This is all good still now, what you have mention here. Yahoo Answer is also good for driving traffic. I can recommend you to read this full page thoroughly 5 Mistakes That Happen When Building A New Blog Make sure you are not doing any of them. Try searching for some killer driving traffic source and implement them to your site.
Thanks Sharpay. Those are some very good tips. I'll be sure to follow them. Jipolis7, There is one thing I'm not doing right now, and that is advertising my site in other blogs. I don't know, it doesn't feel right. I don't want to be intrusive, I don't think it makes me look good. I'm not sure.
